Chris and Nick Lilli are 2 brothers from Long Island NY who have been working on a Long Island Hardcore documentary covering everything from the now long defunct P.W.A.C. venue back in the 1990’s up to the current state of bands. Like many projects these days they are reaching out to the general public, fans, bands and whoever for funding to help complete the film the way they feel will it will be given justice. The title is “Something In The Water” a film about the Long Island Hardcore Music Scene and hopes are for it to be out in early 2014 if their fund raising goal is met. The brothers put together an 8 minute trailer which includes interview clips from bands like Kill Your Idols, Incendiary, Silent Majority, VOD, Mind Over matter and more. PORTUGAL'S FOR THE GLORY TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM "LISBON BLUES" SEPTEMBER 16TH

Destroy Your World will be releasing the vinyl version of the new 11 track For The Glory LP “Lisbon Blues”. This is For The Glory’s 4th full length album and will be released on September 16th on Rastilho Records (CD version). The Destroy Your World vinyl will be limited to 300 copies on colored vinyl and comes out in October with pre-orders being posted this week. The Portugal based 5 piece recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary as a band. In the meantime you can listen to 3 new tracks off of “Lisbon Blues” by clicking the band photo above.

BACKTRACK SIGNS WITH BRIDGE 9 RECORDS, NEW ALBUM OUT EARLY 2014

NY’s Backtrack have signed on with Bridge 9 Records and are currently recording their new full length album with producer (and Terror drummer) Nick Jett. The album is expected to be out in early 2014 and follows up their 2011 “Darker Half” album which was released on Reaper Records. The band starts a Fall tour (“The Anonymous Tour”) with Stray From The Path, Gideon, No Bragging Rights, and Rescuer on October 3rd in Worcester, MA and ends up in Albany, NY on October 21st with stops throughout the south and Midwest. A new documentary is in the works covering NYC’s forgotten borough…Staten Island and the hardcore bands that call/called it home. Anthony Clemente and Samuel Peralta both grew up on Staten Island and have been going to shows and have been in bands since the early 1990’s. With most undertakings such as this these days there are funds to be raised and the filmmakers in this case have chosen to give you their story along with a 4 minute trailer and information on how you can help. NY'S STRAPHANGERS RELEASE 3 SONG PREVIEW TO UPCOMING FULL LENGTH

Queens, NY based Straphangers are currently in the studio tracking for their upcoming still untitled full length which is due to come out this fall. The band has put 3 of the new tracks out via Bandcamp for free as a sampler. Those visiting the This Is Hardcore Fest in Philadelphia next week can grab a free CD version of the new tracks at the All Out War table as Straphangers guitar player Taras also plays in All Out War.

 The Pennsylvania Hardcore Documentary will be holding the first of many screenings across PA starting Saturday August 24th at The Trocadero Theatre (1003 Arch St. Philadelphia).
