Israel’s Kids Insane kick off their month long European tour tonight in Nottingham, UK. The tour will visit Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, and more before finishing up on August 31st in Le Havre, France. The band recently released two new tracks off of their “Frustrated” EP which will be coming out in September on Take It Back and Goodwill Records. You can listen to the new tracks below.

LIFELINE RECORDS TO RE-ISSUE FIRST THREE 7 SECONDS EP'S
LifeLine Records will be re-issuing the first three 7 Seconds EP’s on September 10th. “Skins, Brains & Guts”, “Committed For Life” and “Blasts From the Past” have been out of print for many years and each will be released in its original 7” format. Each release will pay tribute to the original first pressing of each record, using the original art and include the original insert that later pressings had lost. As a bonus, each record will include a retrospective of each release written by Kevin Seconds. There will be limited color vinyl available for pre-orders starting August 15th via LifeLine.

The highly anticipated “United States Of Mind”… the upcoming 10 song full length from Take Offense is due to hit store shelves on September 17th on Reaper Records. The band has just released a new track titled “Place Your Bet” via SoundCloud off of the new album. Reaper will also be releasing a 4 song 7” from T.O. titled “Live At So-Cal Slam” which will be 4 songs from their April 7th show at Rock City Studios in Camarillo, CA. The vinyl only release (due out in mid-August) will be limited to only 500 copies and can be pre-ordered now along with the new “United States Of Mind” LP which comes with many options in regards to colored vinyl. Take Offense’s Greg (guitar) and Joe (drums) are also in Cold Stare which started in 2007 with Greg on vocals. They have 2 out of print 7”s released and will be releasing another 7” titled “The Circus” which will have 6 songs. Look for a late 2013 release on Flatspot Records for the new Cold Stare.
SINGAPORE'S OVERTHROWN DEBUT "NO END IN SIGHT" VIDEO OFF OF NEW EP

Singapore’s Overthrown have just released a video for the track “No End In Sight” off of their new 6 song EP. The “Unbroken” EP will be co-released with Canada’s Insurgence Records and will be available on CD, vinyl and on digital download via Bandcamp. The band is currently in Europe playing 9 dates alongside Belgium’s Ashes from July 26th through August 3rd. Look out for an interview here next week with their guitarist Jai who also runs Reconstrux Bookings which is very instrumental in bringing Western hardcore bands to Southeast Asia.

ARTWORK FOR NEW SHEER TERROR 7" TRIBUTE TO SHAM 69
Above is the cover art for a new Sheer Terror 7” which will be a tribute to Sham 69. The vinyl only release will be put out on Randale Records with all proceeds going to a friend of the band to help with hospital costs. Keep an eye on the Sheer Terror page for more info.
PISSED OFF RADIO FROM NYC DEBUTS FIRST EPISODE
Another new hardcore/punk radio show has popped up. This time out of the apartment of Ken Kelleher who used to be the host of the Hardcore Reality Radio Show back in the 1990’s on Seaton Hall University Radio. Ken’s first show aired this past week and ran a little over an hour long.

7 SECONDS TO RELEASE FIRST NEW MATERIAL IN 8 YEARS

7 Seconds will be releasing a new 2 song 7” on October 1st through Portland, Oregon’s Rise Records. The upcoming release is the band’s first since their 2005 album “Take It Back!, Take It On, Take It Over!” on Side One Dummy Records. The 2 new tracks are titled “My Aim Is You” and “Slogan On A Shirt” which both will appear on side 1 of the record with the flip side containing an etching of the band’s logo. Rise Records has a trailer video with the song my “Aim Is You” which you can watch at the link below. Pre-orders are also available now via Rise. 7 Seconds has about 20 new songs written and plan on releasing 13 of them for a new album later this year also with Rise.

NEW BOOK DOCUMENTING THE LEGENDARY CITY GARDENS CLUB IN NJ
“No Slam Dancing, No Stage Diving, No Spikes” is an upcoming book written by Amy Yates Wuelfing and Steven DiLodovico and covers the legendary and now defunct City Gardens Club in Trenton, NJ which was a force in the 1980’s and 90’s. The 300 plus page book which took a few years to complete covers the whole story of the clubs history as the authors conducted well over 100 interviews with the likes of Henry Rollins, Jon Stewart from The Daily Show (who used to bartend at the club), Ian MacKaye of Minor Threat, Harley from the Cro-Mags, promoter Randy Now plus “moshers, bouncers and other miscreants”. The people behind this project are looking for financial help via Kickstarter and have a very complete breakdown of questions and answers as to where the funds will go if their goal is met. Kickstarter campaigns often come under fire from opponents but in this case everything is spelled out down to how much printing will cost for hardcover and paperback versions as well as the money they have to give back over to Kickstarter themselves. The book is separate from the “Riot On The Dance Floor…The City Gardens Documentary” but most of the contributors are the same and both plan on being released in late 2013. The This Is Hardcore Festival which runs from August 8th through August 11th in Philadelphia, PA has put out a FREE Bandcamp page featuring a track from pretty much all of the 50 plus bands that will be performing over the course of the 4 day festival. It is pretty hard to know all of the bands playing and this is a great way to hear most of them with lyrics included as well. Inner Self are a new band (formed 2013) out of Sao Paulo, Brazil who feature members of Still X Strong, The Only Way, and D.P.R. They have a 5 song 7” titled “Bringing The Rage Back” coming out soon on Seven Eight Life Recordings and have a video out for the title track as well. Inner Self singer Athos Machado also plays guitar in Still X Strong who have recently announced a split 7” with Cruel Hand from Maine. The record will be a DIY release through Sao Paulo Em Furia Records which is run by Athos’ bandmate Xavero from Still X Strong.
TERROR AND STRIFE TO PLAY 2014 PERSISTENCE TOUR IN EUROPE

Mega Platinum Records will be handling distribution for the new album which is Blackout Shoppers’ first since their 2009 debut “Pass Out”.

George Hurchalla…author of “Going Underground…American Punk 1979-1989” is putting out a new revised third edition of his book which first came out in 2005. The first two editions are out of print and the new edition will feature over 50 new photos unique to the new version as well as info and interviews covering the American hardcore scene. The book which is scheduled to come out this summer is seeking funds via Kickstarter and you can get more info about it by watching the video clip they put together.

Abject! are in the midst of putting out their next release which will be the 12 song “Ugly On The Inside” full length. Recording is scheduled for July with a probable mid to late fall release. “Ugly On The Inside” will be the follow up to their September 2012 “39 Hours In Bronx Central Booking” EP and will feature cover artwork by the infamous Gary Gilmore. Arizona’s Bro-Loaf have just followed up their “Business In The Front, Party In The Back” 7” EP which came out on April 29th with the brand new “Patriotic Fight Songs Volume 2” which came out on July 4th and features two new songs in “Lady Liberty” and “The World Needs A Hero”. The limited vinyl release comes in red, white or blue vinyl and is the second installment in their line of 4th of July 7” releases. The band plans on releasing Volume 3 in 2014 and will bundle all 3 versions into a box set version. Downloads for both new releases will be available on the bands Bandcamp page soon. Bro-Loaf also welcomes in Jean Paul Von Damned as their new drummer and look forward to releasing a new full length in 2014.
