London’s Knuckledust have just released a video for the new track “Foundations” which will be part of a new 2 song 7” titled “Foundations Built From Blood”. This GSR Music release will come out on September 19th and is the first of two 7”s the band plans on releasing leading up to their 20th anniversary in 2016 which will also see the release of a new full length album. The first pressing of the new 7’ will have 200 on black vinyl and 300 on gold vinyl.

ZERO PROGRESS BREAK UP

CA’s Zero Progress who just did a short East Coast run with Indy’s Social Damage have announced that they will be breaking up after their guitarist and drummer (brothers Josh and Collin Jacobs) quit the band. ZP was also getting ready to release their debut full length titled “Champions Of Hardcore” and when the break up announcement came the album was posted to their Bandcamp page shortly after. RIP Zero Progress… you will be missed… Look for brothers Matt (vocals) and Ed (bass) to start up something new in the near future. WEIRD AND PISSED OFF BEGIN WORK ON NEW 6 SONG EP DUE OUT THIS FALL

Long Island’s Weird And Pissed Off are heading into the studio to record a 6 song CD-EP titled “Black Vomit” which should be out this fall on Haunted Records from Indiana. The EP will feature 3 new tracks, a cover (“Fucked Up Baby” by D.O.A.) and their 2 demo tracks re-done with their new singer and drummer.

Be on the lookout for a new book by Tony Rettman coming out this November titled “NYHC- New York Hardcore 1980-1990” which will be a 450 page affair and also includes a forward written by Madball’s Freddy Cricien. With over 100 interviews used for the book it is literally a who’s who of people in bands from this era and touches on such topics as NY’s rivalry with DC and Boston, the birth of “moshing”, the clash and coming to terms of hardcore and heavy metal, the straight edge movement and the influence of Krishna consciousness. New Cross Me singer Tyler Murray was involved in a serious motorcycle accident and was put into a medically induced coma which he came out of this past weekend. The band says Tyler will recover and they plan on having him back as their lead man when he is ready. Facial plastic surgery to repair part of his skull that was broken was just done and medical bills are a major concern. 

The band has various merch for sale to help with these costs, (some are currently sold out and will be restocked) as well as a benefit show in Indianapolis on September 13th with Social Damage, Another Mistake, Falter and more where friends of Cross Me will sing for the band in Tyler's place. Full Circle Attack is also working on a 3 way split with Live Fast Die Fast, Two Man Advantage and Too Many Voices. Live Fast Die Fast will be going into the studio in November to record their tracks for this split as well as for a split with CT's Progress (to be released on Detonate Records). Two Man Advantage will be adding two brand new songs and Too Many Voices will have two tracks from their demo which featured their now ex-singer Andy West who you may remember from Kill Your Idols. Andy recently left the band on good terms and guitarist Eric Sivirida will now double up on guitar and vocal duties. Too Many Voices are in the process of recording a 12 song full length (no label as of yet) and hope to have this out by late fall.
